Nowever, Pahey did not. f'eel that this was a reason to <br />vacate khe streeC. <br />Ms. Nardi.ni stated that it appears that the Counci.l di.d not hoLd a <br />publ:i.c heari.ng i.n 19F34, but si.mpLy turnect ctown the r.equesC because the <br />Couxlci.l was opposed to the vacation. <br />Pahey stated that it is a rare case in which the City coi11 vacate a <br />publi.c s[reet. The City will only do so cohen there is no chance f.or <br />developmenC. <br />Mrs. Dulcowi.tz commented that Chere i.s a drainage di.tch in the back <br />of.' the property and asked how the road wil.l effect th~is. Fahey commented <br />that a storm sewer could be put in< <br />Scalze commented thaC there is acreage in the area that the Ci.ty does <br />not know how it will develop, Scalze scated that the Council does not <br />wanC to put the Ci.ty i.n a bind if T.he area develops in 30 years, <br />Nardini pointed out that Mr. Duko~oitz caould have to pay for a public <br />hearing and i.t does not loolc lilce l~~e has the votes necessary to vacate <br />the street. <br />Fahey stated that he was wi.lling to look at the variance issue separatel.y <br />because of the narrowness of: the lot. <br />ScaLze sug~ested that Dukowitz tallc to the liuilding Inspector about the <br />development of his properCy. <br />Kr..
