MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Oct. 23, 1985 <br />Home Mrs. Scalze suggested that the Home Occupation Code be reviewed. <br />Occupations Mr. Fahey pointed out that the City has allowed a big garage on <br />Viking Drive and there are similar large garages around the City. <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Donovan Mrs. Scalze reported that the Recreation Department had Donovan <br />Electric Electric replace a pole and change an electrical service at the <br />Donation Kellogg High School hockey rinks. Donovan Electric donated this <br />work to the City and the estimated cost of the work is $500. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 19 Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 85-10-522 - INSTRUCTING THE <br />CITY CLERK TO SEND A LETTER OF APPRECIATION <br />TO DONOVAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THEIR <br />DONATION OF APPROXIMATELY $500 OF MATERIALS <br />AND LABOR TO THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br />The foregoing resol.ution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Nardini, Scalze, Collova. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Page 551. <br />Gervais Mr.sScalze reported that the Park Commission will bid the trail <br />NIi11 Park work in Gervais Mill Park in November and the actual construction <br />wi11 take place in the spring. <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Sound Barriers Mr. Fahey reported that the City has received a request from Roy <br />Along Savage Nadeau, Jr. for the construction of sound barriers along 35E and <br />Lake Savage Lake. The City Clerk did not think that the State was <br />Agenda constructing the barriers. The Engineer reported that the reason <br />Addition the barriers are not being constructed is that they cost about <br />$2 million per mi1e. <br />Mr. Blesener suggested that the City make the request of the State <br />and get their reply in writing. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 85-10-523 - REQUESTING THE <br />HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TO INSTALL SOOND BARRIERS <br />ALONG 35E ADJACENT TO SAVAGE LAKE TO REDUCE <br />THE NOISE THAT IS INCURRED BY THE RESIDENTS <br />ALONG THE LAKE <br />Page -26- <br />
