MINUTES
City Council
~IOV. 13, 1985
Street
Lights
(Cont.)
Public Works
Conference
Agenda
Addition
Council was agreeable to this policy as suggested by Blesener.
Blesener reported that he and the Public Works Superintendent would
go over the proposed policy statement and will bring it back to the
Council.
Blesener asked if the Council wanted to set a uniform standard for
type of lights. Mr. Fahey felt this was a good idea.
Mr. Blesener reported that Mr. Glanzer would like to attend the Minnesota
Public Works Association's Fall Conference on November 21 and 22 at a
cost to the City of $85.00. Glanzer has never attended this conference
before.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 85-11-445 - APPROVING THE ATTENDANCE
OF ROGER GLANZER AT THE MINNESOTA PUBLIC WORKS
ASSOCIATION'S FALL CONFERENCE ON NOVEMBER 21 AND 22
AT A COST OF $85.00
Recreation
Report
Agenda
Item No. 18
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Ms. Nardini.
Ayes (5) Blesener, Nardini, Scalze, Collova, Fahey.
Nayes (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Page 573.
P9rs. On December 5 and 12 there will be sign-up
for skating, broomball and gymnastics.
Mrs. Scalze reported that on January 1 there will probably be a
position open for Assistant Recreation Director. Scalze explained
that in the past the City has taken the recommendation of the
Recreation Association when making these appointments. Scalze asked
if the Council was going to continue this policy. Scalze stated
that she did not want to change policy until the whole Recreation
Program was redone.
Blesener stated that he would only go against policy if the Recreation
Association was unable to come up with a recommendation.
Page -18-
