MINUTES City Council April 23, 1986 Bingo Blesener again pointed out that if the Counicl does not act on (Cont.) the application within 30 days, it is automatically approved by the State. Fahey indicated that the Council is in favor of the proposal, however, the site problems have to be worked out. Mr. Short asked how many parking spaces he should provide. The Planner suggested 1 parking space per 2 seats. Blesener pointed out that parking has to be available for the front portion of the building as well. The Planner also pointed out that if ownership of the building changes, the property would still be bound by the PUD agreement. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 86-4-158 - DENYING THE CLASS A GAMBLING LICENSE REQUESTED 3Y THE FOLLOWING CHARITAQLE ORGANIZATIONS: b1N REGISTRY OF THE INTERPRETERS OF THE DEAF, 40RTH SUBURBAN DEVELOPMENTAL ACHIEVEMENT, LIONS CLUB OF LITTLE CANADA, ST. JOHN'S CHURCH OF LITTLE CANADA, FRONT AVE~IUE SR. DOOSTERS CLUB, ST. JOSEPH'S SOCIETY, SERVANTS OF P4ARY, INC., RAMSEY COUPITY NUP4ANE SOCIETY, BASED ON TNE FACT THAT THE CITY HAS 30 DAYS TO ACT 0~1 THE REQUEST OR IT IS AUTOMFlTICALLY APPROVED, AND DUE TO THE NUMBER OF PROBLEPnS WITH PARKING, ACCESS TO THE REAR BUILDING, AND PARKING FOR THE OTHER BUSINESSES ON THE SITE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, Nardini. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 13, Pages 160 and 161. The City Attorney reported that the charities will have to submit a new application once parking issues have been resolved. The Attorney also reported that the resolution denying the application will have to be filed with the State Gambling Board. Page -13-
