MINUTES <br />City Council <br />April 23, 1986 <br />Bingo Blesener again pointed out that if the Counicl does not act on <br />(Cont.) the application within 30 days, it is automatically approved by <br />the State. <br />Fahey indicated that the Council is in favor of the proposal, <br />however, the site problems have to be worked out. <br />Mr. Short asked how many parking spaces he should provide. <br />The Planner suggested 1 parking space per 2 seats. <br />Blesener pointed out that parking has to be available for the <br />front portion of the building as well. <br />The Planner also pointed out that if ownership of the building <br />changes, the property would still be bound by the PUD agreement. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 86-4-158 - DENYING THE CLASS <br />A GAMBLING LICENSE REQUESTED 3Y THE FOLLOWING <br />CHARITAQLE ORGANIZATIONS: <br />b1N REGISTRY OF THE INTERPRETERS OF THE DEAF, <br />40RTH SUBURBAN DEVELOPMENTAL ACHIEVEMENT, <br />LIONS CLUB OF LITTLE CANADA, <br />ST. JOHN'S CHURCH OF LITTLE CANADA, <br />FRONT AVE~IUE SR. DOOSTERS CLUB, <br />ST. JOSEPH'S SOCIETY, <br />SERVANTS OF P4ARY, INC., <br />RAMSEY COUPITY NUP4ANE SOCIETY, <br />BASED ON TNE FACT THAT THE CITY HAS 30 DAYS <br />TO ACT 0~1 THE REQUEST OR IT IS AUTOMFlTICALLY <br />APPROVED, AND DUE TO THE NUMBER OF PROBLEPnS <br />WITH PARKING, ACCESS TO THE REAR BUILDING, <br />AND PARKING FOR THE OTHER BUSINESSES ON THE <br />SITE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, Nardini. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 13, Pages 160 and 161. <br />The City Attorney reported that the charities will have to submit <br />a new application once parking issues have been resolved. The <br />Attorney also reported that the resolution denying the application <br />will have to be filed with the State Gambling Board. <br />Page -13- <br />
