MINUTES <br />City Council <br />April 23, 1986 <br />Saxon Mr. 6lesener pointed out that most of this surface exists today. <br />Bowling <br />Alley The City Engineer reported that the property drains into a storm <br />(Cont.) sewer in the Market Place and then into Round Lake. <br />The Planner reported that a five-foot strip of grass area is <br />required around the parking lot. <br />Nardini stated that she hoped as much grass area would be provided <br />as possible to absorb some of the water from this site. <br />Scalze pointed out that the development meets Code with exception <br />of the sideyard variance. <br />Fahey asked if there was the need to require site storage of water. <br />The Engineer saw no need for this. <br />The Planner reported that parking calculations have been based on <br />the information supplied and the Building Inspector would have to <br />look at this when building plans are submitted. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIOtJ N0. 86-4-149 - APPROVING THE SAXON <br />BOWLING ALLEY SIDEYARD SETBACK VARIANCE CONDITIONED <br />UPON THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AND <br />DECLARING THAT THE VARIANCE IS BEING GRANTED DUE <br />TO THE SPECIAL CONDITION TNAT MARKET PLACE DRIVE <br />WAS PLATTED AND IMPROVED AFTER THE SAXON BUILDING <br />WAS CONSTRUCTED SO A HARDSHIP WAS CREATED AFTER TI1E <br />BUILDING WAS IN PLACE AND THE DEGREE OF TI1E PRESEidT <br />VARIANCE IS NOT BEING I~CREASED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, ~lardini, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution ftook No. 13, Page 150. <br />Jackson Mr. Fahey opened the public hearing on the proposed vacation of <br />Street Jackson Street from the south line of Bluwood Avenue to County <br />Vacation Road C. Fahey pointed out that the Engineer has submitted a <br />letter to the Council recommending vacation of this portion of <br />Agenda Jackson while reserving a 20 foot utility, walkway easement on <br />Item No. 5 the west portion of the property. <br />The Engineer reported that there is adequate right-of-way at the <br />end of Bluwood for a standard cul-de-sac and ample room for snow <br />storage. <br />Page -3- <br />
