MINUTES City Council May 14, 1986 Sewer Gas Public Works has received three quotes for the monitor. However, Monitor Public Works would like to purchase the middle-priced inonitor as (Cont.) it is easier to use and batteries can be replaced by the staff rather than returning it to the manufacturer for replacement. The cost of this monitor is $1,350. Ms. Nardini introduced the following resolution and ~oved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 86-5-192 - AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A SEWER GAS MONITOR IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,350 DAVIES WATER EQUIPMENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. Ayes (5) Plardini, Collova, Scalze, Fahey, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 13, Page 190. Recreation Mrs. Scalze reported that 66 children participated in gymnastics, Report there are 19 girls participating in softball, 8 boys' baseball teams and 9 T-ball teams consisting of boys and girls. Agenda Item No. 18 Scalze pointed out the large increase in the number of children participating in the Recreation Program. Insurance Mr. Fahey reported that the insurance risk survey in Council agendas Risk is for information only. Survey The City Clerk reported that the City is expected to reply to the Agenda survey. The Clerk also pointed out that the City does not have Item No. 19 a formal agreement with Kellogg High School for the use of hockey rinks. The Clerk also pointed o ut the recommendation that t he City's insurance coverage will not cover the Canadian Days fireworks display and whoever handles the display will have to have their own insurance. Fahey advised the Clerk to pass this information on to the Canadian Days Committee. Mr. Blesener pointed out that the parade units will also need insurance coverage. Page -23-
