MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 14, 1986 <br />Sewer Gas Public Works has received three quotes for the monitor. However, <br />Monitor Public Works would like to purchase the middle-priced inonitor as <br />(Cont.) it is easier to use and batteries can be replaced by the staff <br />rather than returning it to the manufacturer for replacement. <br />The cost of this monitor is $1,350. <br />Ms. Nardini introduced the following resolution and ~oved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 86-5-192 - AUTHORIZING <br />THE PURCHASE OF A SEWER GAS MONITOR IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $1,350 DAVIES WATER EQUIPMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Plardini, Collova, Scalze, Fahey, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 13, Page 190. <br />Recreation Mrs. Scalze reported that 66 children participated in gymnastics, <br />Report there are 19 girls participating in softball, 8 boys' baseball <br />teams and 9 T-ball teams consisting of boys and girls. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 18 Scalze pointed out the large increase in the number of children <br />participating in the Recreation Program. <br />Insurance Mr. Fahey reported that the insurance risk survey in Council agendas <br />Risk is for information only. <br />Survey <br /> The City Clerk reported that the City is expected to reply to the <br />Agenda survey. The Clerk also pointed out that the City does not have <br />Item No. 19 a formal agreement with Kellogg High School for the use of hockey <br /> rinks. <br /> The Clerk also pointed o ut the recommendation that t he City's <br /> insurance coverage will not cover the Canadian Days fireworks <br /> display and whoever handles the display will have to have their <br /> own insurance. <br /> Fahey advised the Clerk to pass this information on to the Canadian <br /> Days Committee. <br /> Mr. Blesener pointed out that the parade units will also need <br /> insurance coverage. <br />Page -23- <br />
