MINUTES
City Council
May 14, 1986
Sherman
Oaks Add.
(Cont.)
the proposal with regard to Park Charge.
Mr. Rutzick reminded the Council that he was to be given credit on
the park charge due to the amount of property he purchased from the
Winter's to buffer Iona Lane.
Fahey suggested that the minutes be researched in this regard.
Ms. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 86-5-173 - APPROVING THE
PRE~IMINARY PLAT OF THE SHERMAN OAKS ADDITION
SUBJECT TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY
PLANNER AND SU6JECT TO THE PAYMENT OF ANY
PARK CHARGE
Energy
Resources
Center
Agenda
Item No. 5
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener.
Ayes (5) Nardini, Blesener, Scalze, Fahey, Collova.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 13, Page 165.
Mr. Rutzick requested that final plat approval for his development
be put on the agenda of the next Council meeting.
Mr. Fahey felt that this was fine as long as the Development Agreement
is worked out prior to that time.
The Planner and City Attorney felt that this would be possible.
Virginia Straunsky of Energy Resources Center appeared before the
Council requesting that the City participate with Energy Resources
in a Ramsey County Community Block Grant application for residents
of Little Canada. Straunsky reported that Mounds View has recently
taken this action.
Mr. Fahey pointed out that this will make funds available to
citizens of Little Canada for energy-related projects in their
homes. The program will be available to families with low or
moderate incomes.
Mr. Blesener asked about the pay-back period on the money.
Tom Griffin, Executive Director of Energy Resources Center, reported
that the loan terms were not outlined because if the resident stays
in the home for five years, the loan then becomes a grant.
Page -4-
