MINUTES City Council May 14, 1986 Energy Resources Center (Cont.) Cable TV Agenda Item No. 6 Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 86-5-174 - APPROVING THE JOINT APPLICATION BETWEEN ENERGY RESOURCES CENTER AND THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA WITH REGARD TO RAMSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Ms. Nardini. Ayes (5) Blesener, Nardini, Collova, Fahey, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 13, Page 166. Mr. Don Tarnowski reported that for $60.00 the City can purchase a tuner and broadcast WCCO music on the City's Cable TV channel. Tarnowski further reported that May 1, 1986 the Cable TV Commission recommended approval of the transfer of the Cable TV franchise from Westinghouse to Daniels. On May 7 the Commission rejected the transfer of the franchise from Daniels to the Hauser Group because the Commission has not received enough financial information about Hauser to determine if they can maintain the franchise. Tarnowski recommended that the Council approve the transfer of the franchise to Daniels, but deny the transfer to Hauser. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 86-5-175 - APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF GROUP W CABLE, INC. FROM WESTINGHOUSE BROADCASTING AND CABLE, INC. TO DANIELS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Ms. vardini. Ayes (5) Scalze, Nardini, Fahey, Blesener, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book Plo. 13, Pages 167 through 171. Ms. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved it adoption: RESOLUTION ~10. 86-5-176 - DENYING THE REQUEST TO TRANSFER OWNERSHIP AND CONTROL OF GROUP W CABLE OF TNE NORTH SUBURBS, INC.
