Nowever, they are limited to <br />situations where access is questionable or confusing or traffic <br />safety is jeopardized, <br />Fahey felt there were other apartment complexes in the City that <br />~aere more difficu1t to find than vontreal Courts. <br />Giuliana presentPd a proposal for a sign that would identify P-lontreal <br />Courts ancf other businesses as ~hey develon in the I-P !)istrict. <br />5calze stated that she s-~as not interest2d in such a sign and preferred <br />to see a siyn that simply stated "apartment com~~lex/industrial par!<" <br />~vith no names on it, Scalze pointed out that if the Cit,y approved <br />the sign Giuliana proposed, it v~ould have to do the same for other <br />businesses in the City. <br />Giuliana presented pictures of other business signs located in the <br />City that are off-premises. <br />Council believed the only signs that ~,iere off-premises ~~aere the <br />Round Lake Estates sign on Rice Street and the R& S Auto sic~n. <br />Council indicated that these tedo signs would be referred to the <br />(3uilding Inspector for action. <br />After discussion by the Couricil, it was their concensus that a sign <br />sucii as the one proposed by P4rs. Scalze should be put up hy the <br />Public ttorks Department in the public ri~ht-of-w~y. Should the <br />sign present problems, Council felt it viould have to be removed. <br />f.1i11 Stenger of Stenger Auto Body asi<ed if there u~as a+riay to <br />allow a temporary sign for his b~isiness during construction on <br />the Little Canada Road bridge. Stenger felt that there e~ould <br />be nrob1ems locating his business during that construction process. <br />PIr. Fahey indicated that 44r.
