The Enginaer <br />ldith reported that the last time the City participated in such a <br />Rosevilie connection, the cit,y had a watermain contractor working in the <br />area and, therefore, ordered the improveinent. However, as there <br />~qenda is no contractor in the area, the C•ngineer recommended that the <br />Item No. 12b City turn the project over to Roseville to handte. <br />The Engineer reported that the cost of the improvement would be <br />shared equally by both cities< <br />f•4s. Jim Gardner of Garclner Bros. Construction appeared before the <br />Dros. Council requesting approval of a conditional use permit for retail <br />CUP ~or sales and outdoor storage in order to develop a 20,000 square foot <br />Retail Sales office/warehouse building on Centerville Road. <br />& Outdoor <br />Storage Fahey pointed out that the Plannin,ry Commission recommended approval <br />of the CUP and proposed mini-4aarehousing on the back portion of the <br />Anenda property. The Planner recornmended anproval aaith some modifications <br />Item No. 5 to the plan. <br />Gardner explained that his firm constructs single-family homes <br />as s~aell as having a small real estate compan.y and other building- <br />related companies. About £i,000 square feet of the building u>>ould <br />be used for office and the remaining 12,000 square feet ticould be <br />used for warehouse. <br />Gardner explained that the propert,y is difficult to work Evith as <br />there are NSP easements all over it. <br />Gardner reported that a preliminary concept for developing the <br />back portion of the property ~aould be mini-warehousing, which <br />would be sold individually to various tenants.
