MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Dec. 23, 1986 <br />Imp. No. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />87-1 (Cont.) Ayes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, Blesener. <br />Nays (O1. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 15, Page 670. <br />Recess At this point in the meeting, 9:31 P.M., Council took a short recess. <br />The meeting was reconvened at 9:40 P.M. <br />Cellular Mr. Fahey opened the Public Hearing on the proposed text amendment <br />One Text amending Section 903.100 and 903.000 of the Little Canada P1unicipal <br />Amendment Code relating to construction of essential services facilities. <br />Fahey pointed out that the Planning Commission recommended approval <br />Agenda of the text amendment. <br />Item No. 8 <br />Fahey suggested that the text amendment be tabled until action is <br />taken on the Woodlyn Avenue Road issue, however, the Council <br />could conduct the public hearing at this time. <br />Mr. Warren Spannus, representing Cellular One, stated that he could <br />understand the Council's position on the matter and that he appreciated <br />the time the Council was spending on their request. <br />Spannus also reported that with regard to the issue of placing the <br />transmission equipment on the City's water tower, a separate tower <br />is the preferable way to do transmitting and would work better in <br />the long-run. <br />Scalze asked if the City could end up with several similar towers <br />in the City by passing this text amendment. <br />Mr. Spannus pointed out that Cellular One's competitor already <br />has a tower in the general area and pointed out that anyone wishing <br />a tower would have to be a public utility and go through the <br />conditional use permit process with the City. <br />The Planner reported that the purpose of the text amendment is that <br />the ordinance is not well defined with regard to this type of <br />facility, and the text amendment addresses the facility. <br />There was no one else from the general public present wishing to <br />address the Council on this matter. <br />Ms. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0.
