MINUTES
City Council
Dec. 23, 1986
Cellular LITTLE CANADA MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATIN6
One Text TO TNE CONSTRUCTION OF ESSENTIAL SERVICES
Amendment FACILITIES
(Cont.)
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
Ayes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, Blesener.
~lays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Qook No. 15, Page 671.
Klein M~rs. Klein appeared before the Council expressing concern that the
Fence fence problem along her southern property line has not been
P~atter resolved. Klein was also concerned that at the previous Council
meetino, Mr. McCulloch appeared before the Council reporting on
Agenda the possible sale of the Klein property and requesting that the
Item No. 7 Council delay the correction of the fence until Spring.
P1rs. Klein reported that her property is boxed in and that yesterday
her home was robbed, and perhaps wou1d not have been if there was
some visibility of the site.
Mr. Fahey reported that P1r. McCulloch informed the Council that
Mrs. Klein was negotiating the sale of her property with Mr. Schroeder
and the Council indicated a willingness to work with McCulloch and
not require that the fence be torn down should the property be sold
in the very near future. However, McCulloch indicated that he would
be willing to immediately correct the fence, if that is what the
Council desired.
Mrs. Klein reported that she is not selling her property and felt that
Mr. McCulloch was making assumptions when he appeared before the
Council. Klein also reported that there were no problems with the
fence that was put on on the north side of her property and the
Council agreed that the fence to be erected on the south side should
be satisfactory to Mrs. Klein. Mrs. Klein indicated that she wanted
a fence on the south side of the property exactly like the fence on
the north side. Klein reported that this fence is chain-link from
the back of her house forward to Rice Street and wooden on the back
portion in a basket-weave design.
Mr. Fahey reported that this is the first he has heard that Mrs.
Klein wanted a basket-weave design in the back and did not feel
that Mr. McCulloch should be required to remove the existing wooden
fence and replace it with one of basket-weave design.
Klein pointed out that Mr. Fahey indicated that the fence should be
satisfactory to her. Klein questioned Mr. Fahey's changing this
requirement at this point.
Page -14-
