MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Dec. 23, 1986 <br />Senior Mrs. Ness indicated that there are other seniors in this apartment <br />Housing building who would also be interested in the housing being proposed <br />(Cont.l in Little Canada. <br />P1rs. Hess asked if the developers planned to have any sort of <br />services available to the seniors. <br />Ms. Nardini reported that they are contemplating keying off the <br />third floor of the building so that only seniors would have <br />access to their floor. Also a lounge area would be planned <br />for the third floor. Other than that, there are no services <br />planned that the Council is aware of. Council suggested that <br />Mrs. Hess direct her questions to the developer. Fahey also <br />suggested that Hess contact Johanna Gallagher of the 55+ Club. <br />Mrs. Ness asked about rental prices. <br />Fahey reported that he would write to the developer and ask him <br />to provide Mrs. Hess this information. <br />Jeep Ms. Nardini reported that the City has received a letter from <br />International Jeep International 500 Snowmobile Race requesting authorization <br />50Q Snow- to pass through Little Canada during their race between the <br />mobile Race hours of 1 P.M. and 4 P.P4. on Sunday, February 1, 1987. Nardini <br />outlined the route that the race would take. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 12 Council discussed the race crossing Lake Gervais and discussed <br />whether or not the entire lake would be closed to other traffic <br />during the times of the race. <br />Mr. Fahey suggested that a notice be placed in January sewer bills <br />notifying residents of the race and reporting that access to the <br />lake may be restricted on that date. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 86-12-556 - AUTHORIZING THE <br />JEEP 500 INTERNATIONAL SNOWMOBILE RACE TO <br />PASS THROUGN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA ON <br />SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 1987 gETtdEEN THE NOURS <br />OF 1 P.P1.
