MINUTES City Council Jan. 14, 1987 Attendance P4r. Blesener reported that Dan Drake and Joe Steele are scheduled At Sea~er to attend a collection system operator's seminar on January 21, 22 School and 23. Cost of the seminar is $50 each and the seminar is necessary to maintain Mr. Drake's and Mr. Steele's sewer operator's licenses. Agenda Item No. 12 Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 87-1-21 - APPROVING THE ATTENDANCE OF JOE STEELE AND DAN DRAKE AT A COLLECTION SYSTEM OPERATOR'S SEMINAR ON JANUARY 21, 22, AND 23, 1987 AT A COST OF $50.00 EACH The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Sca7ze, LaValle, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 21. Calling For Mr. Blesener reported that the Utility Department would like to Bids For call for bids for a new tractor to replace an old tractor that Tractor the City recently sold. The tractor would be used for mowing and other maintenance work. Estimated cost is between $12,000 and ,4~~enda $14,000 and would be paid for from the 19II6 Capital Outlay Funds. Item No. 12 Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 87-1-22 - CALLI~IG FOR BIDS FOR A NEW TRACTOR AS REQUESTED BY TNE UTILITY DEPARTMENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Collova, LaValle, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book ~lo. 17, Page 22. Street Mr. Collova reported that Little Canada Road was being swept Sweeping and asked if the City was doing the sweeping. Collova felt that it was unnecessary to sweep streets at this time of the Agenda year. Addition Mr. Blesener reported that the City sweeps its streets in the spring. Little Canada Road is a County road, and it was probably the County doing the sweeping. Page -13-
