MINUTES City Council Jan. 28, 1987 False Mr. LaValle reported that in 1986 there were 310 alarm calls in the Alarms City, of which 306 were false alarms. LaValle reported that the cities of Falcon Heights, Arden Hills, Vadnais Heights and Shoreview Agenda have enacted ordinances providing penalties for false alarms. Addition LaValle suggested that he provide the Council copies of these ordinances for Council consideration. Bingo Mr. Collova reported that he has asked the Building Inspector to do (Cont.) a head count of patrons at the Little Canada Charitable Bingo Hall. Collova also noted that the Building Inspector has reported on his inspection of the Hall, and a copy of this report has been included in the file on the hall. Tractor Mr. Qlesener reported that the Utility Department has received two Bids bids for purchase of a new tractor. The bids were as follows: Agenda Long Lake Ford Tractor $12,422.26 Item No. 19 Carlson Tractor and Equipment $12,078.00 The Utility Department has recommended that the low bid be awarded. Also, the Department does not wish to purchase the mower for the tractor at this time. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 87-1-39 - ACCEPTING TNE LOW BID OF CARLSON TRACTOR AND EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,078.00 FOR PURCHASE OF A 4610 FORD TRACTOR TO BE PAID FOR FROM 1986 CAPITAL OUTLA`f FUNDS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Scalze, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 40. Street Blesener reported that the Utility Department would like to call for Sweeping street sweeping bids. The earlier bids are called for, the earlier City streets will be swept. Cost of sweeping last year was $42.50 Agenda per hour with a total of 71 1/2 hours, or $3,000. Item No. 19 Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Page -18-
