MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Feb. 11, 1987 <br />Lighting Fahey reported that the complaining property owner would like an <br />At Family opinion from the Council and is requesting that the City amend the <br />Video ordinance to prohibit colored lights. <br />(Cont.) <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-2-59 - DECLARING THAT <br />THE CITY COUNCIL DOES NOT FEEL THAT THE LIGHTING <br />AT FAMILY VIDEO LOCATED ON LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br />IS OFFENSIVE NOR IN VIOLATION OF CITY ORDINANCE, <br />NOR THE TYPE OF LIGHTING THAT SHOULD BE SCREENED <br />FROM NEIGHBORING RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 62. <br />Road Mr. Collova felt that the City's imposing road restrictions early <br />Restrictions will catch a lot of developers off guard. Collova suggested that <br />(Cont.) developers who have a building permit on file should be allowed to <br />begin construction within the next week. <br />The City Engineer reported that with the way the weather has been, <br />developers could reasonably have expected road restrictions to go <br />on early. <br />Blesener stated that the City faces the same problem of developers <br />wanting to proceed with their projects no matter when road <br />restrictions are imposed. <br />Council discussed the matter and felt that if a developer has a <br />building permit on file and can obtain the approval of the Building <br />Inspector and Public Works Superintendent to begin construction, <br />he could proceed during the next week. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-2-60 - DECLARING THAT ANYONE <br />WITH A BUILDING PERMIT IN THE CITY CENTER AS <br />OF FEBRUARY 11, 1987 CAN SEEK THE PERMISSION <br />OF THE ftUILDING INSPECTOR AND PUBLIC WORKS <br />SUPERINTENDENT TO PROCEED WITH FOUNDATION <br />WORK EVEN THOUGH WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN <br />IMPOSED, THESE EXCEPTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED ONLY <br />FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, LaValle, Scalze, Blesener, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 63. <br />Page -18- <br />
