MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Feb. 25, 1987 <br />Firewood <br />(Cont.) <br />Walkway <br />Easements <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 14a <br />LaValle suggested that whatever ordinance is adopted, the City <br />should make sure that it is enforceable. <br />The Planner thought that the Building Inspector patterned the <br />ordinance after St. Paul's. <br />Scalze suggested that the Building Inspector look at some suburban <br />ordinances. <br />Mrs. Scalze reported that the Park Commission has questioned <br />whether the walkway easements in the Sophie/Peterson plat and <br />Pat Goff's development on County Road D have been adequately <br />described in the plats. <br />Council looked at the final plats for these developments and <br />noted that the easements were not designated as walkway easements. <br />Council felt that the City Attorney should review the matter and <br />ensiare that the City has the necessary walkway easements. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-2-85 - INSTRUCTING THE <br />CITY ATTORNEY TO VERIFY THAT ADEQUATE <br />WALKI~AY EASEMENTS HAVE BFEN DESCRIBED <br />AND ARE ON FILE IN THE APPROPRIATE FASHION <br />FOR THE SOPHIE/PETERSON PLAT AS WELL AS <br />PAT GOFF'S ASPEN GROVE ADDITION <br />Grant <br />For Spooner <br />Park <br />Purchase <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 14b <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 90. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-2-86 - AUTHORIZING BILL <br />SANDERS TO PREPARE A LAWCON GRANT APPLICATION <br />FOR THE PURCNASE OF SPOONER PARK <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Sanders, Collova, Fahey, LaValle, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 91. <br />Page -16- <br />
