MI~UTES <br />City Council <br />Feb. 25, 1987 <br />Union 76 RESOLUTION N0. 87-2-75 - DECLARING THAT IT <br />Signs IS COUNCIL S OPINION TNAT A VARIANCE IS NOT <br />(Cont.) NECESSARY FOR SIGN HEIGHT FOR UNION 76 AS <br />THERE HAS NOT BEEN A CHANGE IN FRANCHISEE OF <br />THE PROPERTY, BUT RATHER A TRADE OF PROPERTY <br />BETWEEN MOBIL OIL AND UNION 76, H041EVER, <br />PUTTING THE FRANCHISEE ON NOTICE THAT SHOULD <br />THE BUSINESS BE SOLD, THE CITY'S SIGN ORDINANCE <br />WOULD BECOME APPLICABLE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Collova, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 79. <br />Klein/ Mr. Fahey reported that at the last meeting the Council requested <br />McCulloch the City Attorney, Planner, and Clerk to perform various functions <br />Fence as well as research minutes in conjunction with the Klein/McCulloch <br />M~atter fence matter. <br />Agenda Becky Menk, Manager of the mini-storage on the McCulloch property, <br />Item No. 6 appeared before the Council representing Mr. McCulloch. <br />The City Clerk explained the transcripts that he made of previous <br />Council meetings at which the Klein/McCulloch fence matter was <br />discussed. <br />fahey pointed out that it has been Mrs. Klein's position that the <br />Council informed McCulloch that the fence along his property line <br />was to be built to Mrs. Klein's satisfaction. <br />Mrs. Klein stated that this was correct, and that Mr. Stenger was <br />informed of this and stated that he would do whatever Mrs. Klein <br />wanted with regard to the fence. <br />Klein asked how long Menk has been an employee of Mr. McCulloch. <br />Menk replied that she has been manager of the mini-storage for the <br />past two years and has been involved in this matter since it began, <br />although this is the first Council meeting she attended. <br />Blesener indicated that the matter of the fence not being satisfactory <br />came up when Mr. McCulloch requested that his bond be released. <br />Scalze pointed out that on April 24, 1986 Fahey commented that <br />the fence had to be satisfactory to the neighbors. <br />Fahey pointed out that Mr. McCulloch has indicated that he was <br />opposed to changing the fence to a basketweave design. <br />Page -4- <br />
