MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 8, 2025 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Gutierrez. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ADDITIONS CITY ADMINISTRATOR LETTER OF RESIGNATION The City Clerk stated that a letter of resignation was received from the City Administrator and the Council would need to accept that. She commented that they will be sad to see him go, but wish him the best noting that his last day would be anticipated as March 1 ". She recognized the positive changes that have occurred during his six years at Little Canada. The City Administrator stated that he has accepted a position as the City Administrator of Red Wing, which is his hometown. He commented that it will be bittersweet to leave the community, but he is excited about the opportunity. Mayor Fischer appreciated the transparency that the City Administrator has provided throughout this process and was also excited about this opportunity he has. He recognized the work that the City Administrator has done for Little Canada and expressed great appreciation not only for the work but the way he has done the work. Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2025-1-15 — A CCEPTING THE RESIGNA TION FROM CHRIS HEINEMAN, CITYADMINISTRA TOR, EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2025 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. COUNCIL REPORTS AND MEETING UPDATES Miller commented on the great format and information in the most recent newsletter. ADJOURN There being no further business, upon motion by Miller, seconded by Gutierrez, the meeting was adjourned at 8:55 p.m. RECONVENE AS THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY President Fischer called the meeting of the Economic Development Authority to order at 8:56 p.m. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY: President Fischer, Directors Malone, Kwapick, Gutierrez and Miller.
