MINUTES
City Council
March 25, 1987
Tima Land RESOLUTION N0. 87-3-117 - APPROVING THE
Conveyance LOUIE TIMA LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT AS REQUESTED
(Cont.) BY THE APPLICANT AND AS SHOWN ON THE SURVEY
SUBMITTED, IDENTIFIED AS CERTIFICATE OF
SURVEY JOB N0. 32-38 AND 32-39, WHICH RESULTS
IN MR. TIMA'S LOT CONSISTING OF 15,143 SQUARE
FEET AND MR. TNOMAS JUDD'S LOT CONSISTING OF
37,963 SQUARE FEET
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova.
Ayes (4) Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Fahey.
Nays (1) Scalze.
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 128.
Essential The Planner submitted a proposed ordinance dealing with essential
Services services. The Planner pointed out that the Planning Commission has
recommended approval of this ordinance.
Agenda
Item N0. 7 Scalze asked if the ordinance should include a height restriction
for towers.
The Planner felt that towers should be considered on a case-by-case
basis and pointed out that while a 200 foot tower would not be
acceptable in one area, it may be in another. The Planner felt
that the ordinance provided enough control for the Council to address
this issue.
Scalze pointed out the City's existing towers and asked if the
City would have difficulty not allowing a tower due to the existing
ones.
The Planner thought this might be true under the existing ordinance,
and pointed out that under the proposed ordinance a tower would
require a conditional use permit, which would give the City the
control it needed to regulate this area.
LaValle indicated that he thought the FCC regulated tower heights.
The Planner stated that there are specific FCC regulations for
satellite dishes and antennae. However, this proposed ordinance
deals with towers for essential services.
Blesener stated that based on the recommendation of the City Planner
and City Attorney, he felt this proposed ordinance should be adopted.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption:
Page -5-
