MINUTES <br />City Council <br />March 25, 1987 <br />Essential ORDINANCE N0. 282 - AMENDING SECTION <br />Services 903.100 AND 903.040 OF THE LITTLE CANADA <br />(Cont.1 MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO CONSTRUCTION <br />Of ESSENTIAL SERVICES FACILITIES <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Ordinance declared adopted. <br />Pull-Tab The City Clerk reported that Servants of Mary have submitted a <br />License license renewal application for a pull-tab operation at Brady's <br />Renewal on Rice Street. The Clerk reported that all the necessary information <br />Servants has been submitted by Servants of Mary and the City has received a <br />Of Mary satisfactory police report. <br />Agenda Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Addition <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-3-118 - APPROVING THE <br />GAMBLING LICENSE APPLICATION SUBMITTED <br />BY SERVANTS OF MARY FOR A PULL-TAB OPERATION <br />AT BRADY'S ON RICE STREET, LOCATED AT 2500 <br />NORTH RICE STREET <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 129. <br />Bingo Mr. Fahey noted that the Council has received a copy of the City <br /> Auditor's report with regard to the Little Canada Charitable Bingo <br />.4genda operation. Fahey noted that the gambling license for LCCB i s due <br />Addition for renewal on June 1. LCCB has requested that the Council consider <br /> the renewal at its April 8, 1987 Council meeting as they are required <br /> to get their license renewal app lication in to the State six weeks <br /> prior to the renewal date. <br />Fahey suggested that between now and the April IIth meeting, the Council <br />review the Auditor's report as well as request any further information <br />from LCCB if Council feels necessary, so it wi11 have all the information <br />it needs in order to make a decision on the license renewal. <br />Fahey also informed the Council that he has talked with Commander <br />6ergeron, and due to a sexual harassment suit filed against Mr. Ed <br />Amaro and concerns over deputies patrolling inside the bingo hall, <br />Sheriff's deputies have been removed from the hall. The Risk Management <br />Department of the County is currently reviewing the matter. However, <br />in the meantime, LCCB has hired a private guard service to patrol <br />the premises. <br />Page -6- <br />
