P~INUTES
City Council
April 8, 1987
Mosted The City Attorney reported that the City's appraiser has determined
Property an appraised value for the Mos.ted property which the City wishes
to purchase at $55,500. Mrs. Mosted's appraiser has determined the
Agenda value at $70,000. The City Attorney suggested that the City attempt
Item No. 10 to negotiate a purchase price in the middle of the two appraisals.
Scalze agreed that the City should attempt to negotiate with Mrs.
Mosted.
The City Attorney pointed out that an appraisal was submitted as
part of the City's grant application for purchase of this property.
The appraisal that was submitted is the City's appraisal which sets
the value at $55,500. This would be the maximum the City would get
for the property should the application be approved.
Collova asked if the City purchases the property for a higher price
than listed on the appraisal submitted with the grant application,
if this will effect the chances of the application being approved.
The City Attorney replied that the grant application has to be in
a certain stage of approval, before the City can sign a purchase
agreement for the property. The Attorney indicated that he would
check into this.
Thunder The City Engineer recommended that a storm sewer pipe be installed in
Bay Addition Ditch #7 in the area on the west side of Arcade Street. The Engineer
reported that he would submit plans for this improvement for
Flgenda presentation to the Council.
Item No. 9
Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
( Change ) RESOLUTION N0. 87-4-138 - AUTHORIZING THE
( Order-no-1-) INSTFlLLATION OF A STORD9 SE41ER PIPE IN DITCH #7
( Houle- ) IN THE AREA LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF ARCADE
( Imp. 86-13-) STREET AS PER THE RECOPIMENDATIONS OF THE CITY
ENGINEER
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
Ayes (5) Collova, Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Blesener.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 151.
Woodlyn Flve.
