RESOLUTIONS
City Council
April 22, 1987
Knox RESOLUTION N0. 87-4-158 - TABLING ACTION
(Cont.) ON TNE KNOX PUD REQUEST UNTIL THE MAY 27,
1987 COUNCIL MEETING AND AUTHORIZING THE
ATTORNEY AND PLANNER TO PROCEED TO PREPARE
THE PUD AGREEMENT FOR THIS PROPOSAL PROVIDED
TNAT THE APPLICANT FILES A LETTER WITH THE
CITY THAT THEY WOULD PAY TNE COSTS ASSOCIATED
WITH DRAWING UP THE PUD AGREEMENT IN THE
EVENT THAT THE PROPOSAL IS DENIED
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Blesener.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 172.
Thunder Bay Fahey opened the public hearing on the Thunder Bay preliminary plat
Preliminary for the second addition. Fahey pointed out that the Planning
Plat Commission first denied the plat and then recommended that a
new plat be presented which would include a 50-foot street
Agenda right-of-way to LaBore Road and the removal of either the Valento
Item No. 9 or Wright homes with proper sideyard setbacks being maintained.
Mr. P~orris Jespersen, 651 LaBore Road, one of the developers of
the property, appeared before the Council. Jespersen quoted
from the minutes of the May 28, 1986 Council meeting when the
same plat was considered. In these minutes it was the concensus
of the Council that the road be extended through to LaBore Road.
A previous Council also indicated the same concensus. Jespersen
pointed out that tonight's proposal would meet these recommendations.
Jespersen explained that the proposal before the Council is to
center the road between the Wright and Valento homes. There would
be 21 feet on either side of the road from the house to the road
mat.
Scalze noted that at one time it was indicated that there would be
14 feet from the Wright home to the road mat.
Jespersen replied that this was an incorrect measurement and that
the developers now have a survey showing that there would be 21
feet from the houses to the mat.
Collova noted that on May 28, 1986 he indicated that the road should
be closer to the Valento house than the Wright house.
Fahey pointed out that his suggestion that the road be centered
between the houses was not adopted by the Council at that time.
The resolution indicated that the road should be located as close
as possible to the Valento house. Fahey asked why the road was
being centered.
Page -11-
