r~zNUTEs <br />City Council <br />April 22, 1987 <br />Strohbeen/ Brausen replied that the line was planned that way in the event <br />Ducharme the house would be allowed to remain so that setbacks would be <br />Lot Split met. However, since the house will be removed, the line can be <br />(Cont.) straightened out. <br />Scalze pointed out that the property to the back is being landlocked. <br />Brausen commented that there <br />property, and suggested that <br />not to interfere with future <br />is a 33-foot easement to the back <br />they will position the house so as <br />development of the propert,y. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-4-161 - APPROVING THE <br />STROHBEEN/DUCHARME LOT SPLIT AS PRESENTED <br />SUBJECT TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION FOR REMOVAL OF THE SMALL <br />DWELLING ON TNE PROPERTY AND RELOCATION OF THE <br />GARAGE TO MEET SETBACK REQUIREMENTS AND SUBJECT <br />TO THE RECOMMEN~ATIONS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY AND <br />ENGINEER WITH REGARD TO BONDING REQUIREMENTS FOR <br />REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING DWELLING, SUBJECT TO <br />THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CITY ENGINEER WITH REGARD <br />TO DRAINAGE EASEP,1ENTS AND SUBJECT TO THE REMOVAL <br />OF ALL NON-OWNED VENICLES AND THE PROHIBITION OF <br />GARAGE AND MECHANICAL WORK ON THE SITE OTHER THAN <br />THE PROPERTY OWNER'S OWN VEHICLES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, Collova, LaValle, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 175. <br />Slumberland Mr. Larry Lee, President of Yorkton Ltd., presented to the Council <br />Plan Review for review a site plan for a 112,000 square foot facility on <br />Centerville Road which will house the Slumberland headquarters. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 12 Mr. David Heller, representing Gardner Bros. Construction, appeared <br />before the Council expressing concern that the Slumberland building <br />is proposed to be set 15 feet from the property line. Heller asked <br />if this would interfere with the future development of the Gardner <br />Bros. site. He11er was also concerned with the routin4 of utilities <br />to the Slumberland site and the potential for Gardner Bros to <br />connect to these utilities. <br />The Planner replied that Code requires a 15 foot sideyard setback <br />in this area, and Gardner Bros. would have to maintain a similar <br />setback on their property. <br />Page -18- <br />
