MINUTES <br />City Council <br />June 24, 1987 <br />Portable <br />Classroom <br />(Cont.) <br />P1r. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-6-278 - CLOSI~G THE <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE REQUEST OF THE <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR A CONDITIOMAL USE <br />PERPnIT FOR A TEP9PORARY PORTABLE CLASSROOPI <br />AT THE LITTLE CANADA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book PJo. 17, Page 303. <br />Mr. Borg reported that plans are to use the portable classroom for <br />the District's extended day care program, however, due to concerns <br />being raised by the State Building Code Department, Borg was not <br />guaranteeing that the classroom would be brought in. <br />Borg also reported that the School District would like to put a 10 <br />to 16 room addition onto the School, but cannot do so until it sells <br />some property. Borg pointed out that the conditional use permit is for <br />one year, but the School District may have to request an extension of <br />the permit. <br />Collova stated that he would not like to see the classroom remain as <br />long as the ones have at Kellogg as an alternative to adding on to <br />the school. <br />Borg did not think that was likely. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOlUTION N0. 87-6-279 - APPROVING THE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERPIIT FOR THE ROSEVILLE <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ERECT A TEPIPORARY PORTABLE <br />CLASSROOM TO BE LOCATED ON TI~E SOUTH SIDE OF <br />THE LITTLE CANADA ELEP9ENTARY SCHOOL SUBJECT TO <br />THE RECOP1P~ENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLAN~IER, AND <br />SUBJECT TO THE CLASSROOM BEING A NEUI STRUCTURE <br />AND FURTHER SUBJECT TO THE CLASSROOPI MEETI~IG <br />ALL STATE QUILDING CODES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution apepars in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 304. <br />Page -12- <br />
