P-1INUTES
City Council
June 24, 1987
Thunder Bay
2nd Add.
(Cont.)
The City Clerk reported that the corner lot in the Westwind Development
is 100 feet wide by 163 feet deep.
P1r. Fahey pointed out that the Planning
Commission voted to deny the variance because the criteria for
hardship was not met. The Planner has also recommended against the
variance request.
P1r. Fred Rusch appeared before the Council outlining the past history
of the property as well as the property values in the area. Rusch
felt that the variance was warranted due to the condition of
surrounding properties and the fact that the property was devalued
when it was rezoned to prohibit construction of a duplex.
George Rossez, property owner in the area, stated that he was not
opposed to the variance request.
Page -13-
