r~irJUTES <br />City Council <br />June 24, 1987 <br />Twin Lake Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Trail Berm <br />(Cont.) RESOLUTION N0. 87-6-293 - AUTHORIZI~IG THE <br />CITY E~IGINEER TO TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS <br />TO APPLY FOR A PERPIIT FROM THE STATE FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A BERM ON HIGHWAY DEPARTf+iEP1T <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) 6lesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution 6ook Mo. 17, Page 318. <br />Demont Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Street <br />Improvement RESOLUTION N0. 87-6-294 - ACCEPTING AND AWARDING <br />(Cont.) TNE LOLJ BID OF FRATTALONE EXCAVATING IN THE <br />AP~OUNT OF $743,284.93 FOR THE IMPROVEP4ENT OF <br />DEP10NT FROP1 RICE STREET TO INTERSTATE 35E <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by R1rs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 17, Page 319. <br />Scalze suggested that the Engineer check into the feasibility of <br />striping Demont for a bike path and whether this is acceptable <br />under State Aid designation. <br />The Engineer felt there would be adequate room for a bike path as <br />the street will be 36 feet wide, and reported that he will check <br />with the State and report back. <br />Condemnation The Engineer reported that he has not been able to obtain an easement <br />Of Easement on the Saiko property for the improvement of Demont, although he felt <br />Saiko that the easement would be provided shortly. However, it was the <br />Property Engineer's recommendation that the City Attorney begin condemnation <br />proceedings for the easement so that the project will not be held <br />up by the lack of this easement. <br />LaValle pointed out pending litigation due to a water problem from <br />the trailer courts. <br />The Engineer reported that the improvement of Demont will resolve <br />this water problem. <br />Page -22- <br />
