MINUTES <br />City Council <br />July 8, 1987 <br />Bingo The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by P1rs. Scalze. <br />(Cont.) Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 335. <br />Council felt the 30-day comment period should be waived for the <br />other charities which the Council previously approved. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-7-311 - I~AIVING THE <br />CITY S 30-DAY COPMQENT PERIOD WITH REGARD <br />TO THE CLASS A GAMBLING LICENSE APPLICATIONS <br />SUBPIITTED BY SERVANTS OF P9ARY, ST. JOSEPH'S <br />SOCIETY, LAKE OWASSO RESIDENCE VOLUNTEER <br />COUNCIL AND ROSEVILLE YOUTH FOOTBALL <br />ASSOCIATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Norm Council noted the letter it received from Norm Dupre regarding <br />Dupre the City's installation of a silt fence on his property as well <br />Silt as removal of weeds. The cost of this work was $500, and the City <br />Fence has notified Mr. Dupre that it will be assessed against his property. <br /> Dupre is objecting. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 10 Council also noted that the City has sent Mr. Dupre several letters <br /> in the past requesting him to install the silt fence as well as <br /> asking for the removal of the weeds. P9r. Dupre has not complied <br /> with these requests, and the City then informed him that if [)upre <br /> did not do the work, the City would and would assess his property. <br /> Dupre still ignored the City's request, therefore, the City proceeded <br /> to have the work done. <br />Council requested the City Clerk to send Dupre another letter and <br />inform him that if the $500 is not paid, the City will be assessing <br />this amount against his property taxes. <br />Curbing On Mr. Gene Blackford, 299 Savage Lane, reported that the City recently <br />Savage Lane ground down the curb in front of his home. Blackford reported that <br /> he was pleased with the curb as originally installed. 4lackford <br />Agenda felt the contractor did a poor job in grinding down the curb, and <br />Addition <br />Page -11- <br />
