P9INUTES City Council July 8, 1987 David The City Attorney reported that he has informed David Wright that in Wright order to proceed w ith his proposed subdivision, he will have to purchase Subdivision the necessary road easement for No el Drive. The Attorney reported that the Plessel's have indicated that they know the road will be developed Agenda at some point, but want to be paid for any road easement they have to Item ~o. 12 dedicate. Mostad Mrs. Scalze informed the Council that the State has approved the City's Property application for Lawcon grant to be used in purchasing the Mostad property. & Grant However, the City has not received the formal approval letter at this Application time. Agenda Scalze reported that Bill Sanders has indicated that the City can now Addition proceed to begin negotiations with Mrs. Mostad for the purchase of her property. Scalze pointed out that the City has an appraisal for the property of $55,500 for 6.04 acres. The City Attorney reported that before he begins negotiations, he will contact the State as well as Bill Sanders. Sealcoating Blesener reported that sealcoating of some City streets will begin tomorrow. Agenda Item No. 13 Pipelines Blesener pointed out that the City is required to adopt a pipeline setback ordinance within the next couple of years, and suggested that Agenda the Planner make a recommendation on this. Addition Kathy Tipler Scalze publically thanked Kathy Tipler for her attendance and minutes at some water quality meetings on behalf of the City. Agenda Addition Day Care Scalze suggested that the City Attorney review State law with regard to day care facilities in residential neighborhoods and give the Agenda Council an opinion. Item No. 15a Parks Scalze requested that the Council review the parks assessment survey Assessment recently done by Shoreview and suggested that the matter then be Survey discussed at a future Council meeting.
