MINUTES <br />City Council <br />July 8, 1987 <br />LCRA <br />Temporary <br />3.2 Beer <br />R Wine <br />Permits <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 16b <br />Scalze reported that the Little Canada Recreation Association has <br />requested temporary 3.2 beer permits and wine permits for Canadian <br />Days to be held August 7, 8, and 9 as well as the North Country <br />Classic to be held September 11, 12, and 13. <br />Collova suggested that the City require that no beer-drinking trophy <br />be awarded by the LCRA. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-7-31~ - APPROVING THE <br />TEMPORARY 3.2 BEER PERh1ITS AND t~INE PERMITS <br />FOR TNE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION ASSOCIATION <br />FOR CANADIAN DAYS ON AUGUST 7, 8 AND 9, 1987 <br />AND FOR THE NORTH COUNTRY CLASSIC ON SEPTEPIBER <br />11, 12 AND 13, 1987 PROVIDED THAT NO BEER-DRINKING <br />TROPHY IS AWARDED BY TNE LCRA, AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO SIGN THESE LICENSE <br />APPLICATIONS ON BEHA~F OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 339, <br />Blesener suggested that the City contact the Canadian Days Corrsnittee and <br />inform them that their permits applications need to be submitted prior <br />to the next Council meeting. <br />LaValle suggested that a change be made in the parade route this year. <br />Council suggested that LaValle bring this suggestion to the Canadian <br />Days Committee. <br />Appraisal Scalze suggested that the City proceed to get an appraisal of the <br />Of Centerville Centerville Road property. Scalze felt that the property that <br />Road Property should be appraised is the Butler, Dave Frattalone, Fasciana, <br />Bibeau and Quality Blacktop properties. Scalze also suggested <br />Agenda that the City use a different appraiser in this instance, and suggested <br />Item No. 16c that the City Clerk contact Vadnais Heights for the name of their <br />appraiser. <br />Blesener suggested that a letter be sent to the property owners <br />telling them that the City could like to appraise their property, <br />and asking for authorization. <br />Page -15- <br />
