MINUTES <br />City Council <br />August 12, 1987 <br />1987 The City Clerk reported that the total assessments to be considered <br />Assessments at the August 26, 1987 assessment hearing are $896,703.96 with an <br />(Cont.) interest rate of 9% per annum and a term of 8 years. The Clerk <br />reported that the bond issue was actually for 10 years, but two <br />years have already passed. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-8-364 - SETTING THE FOLLOWING <br />FOR 1987 ASSESSMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED AT A <br />PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 26, 1987: <br />ASSESSED AMOUNT - $896,703.96 <br />INTEREST RATE - 9% PER ANNUM <br />TERM - 8 YEARS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Fahey, Collova. <br />Mays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 390. <br />Lewis The City Attorney reported that the problem with the legal description <br />blright for the Lewis Wright problem has been resolved in that the title insurance <br />Property company has agreed to cover this matter. An agreement in writing should <br />be signed soon. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 14 The Attorney also reported that he anticipates that the purchase agreement <br />for the Wright property will also be signed shortly. <br />Animal Fahey reported that the City's animal control provider is going out of <br />Control business. <br />Flgend~~ The City Clerk reported that surrounding cities are working on this <br />Item No. 16a matter. <br />School Fahey reported that he met with Roger Worner, Superintendent of the <br />Building Roseville School District, and Terry Meyer, President of Globe Business <br />Committee College about the idea of a School Building Committee to be formed <br />comprising the City and School District in order to explore alternatives <br />Agenda for the use of Capital View. <br />Item No. 16b <br />Fahey felt that he and another member of the Council should serve on <br />this committee. <br />Blesener agreed that the Mayor should serve on the Committee and that <br />the Councilperson who also serves on the committee be someone with an <br />Page -11- <br />
