MINUTES <br />City Council <br />August 12, 1987 <br />School Fahey agreed, but noted that if this is not possible, then the <br />Building Committee should work with creative leasing of the building or the <br />Committee sale of the building. <br />(Cont.) <br />The majority of the Council agreed. <br />fahey reported that any recommendations of the Committee will be <br />brought back to the Council for action, and suggested that at that <br />point a joint workshop of the Council and School Board be scheduled. <br />Blesener pointed out that it is in the best interests of the School <br />District to have the building occupied than sitting empty. <br />Water Loss Blesener reported that Public Works has a proposal from Pitometer <br />Associates to do testing of the large water meters in the City as <br />Agenda well as testing of major water lines to try to determine the cause <br />Item No. 17a of the City's large water loss each quarter. The cost of this <br />testing will not exceed $2,900. <br />Fahey pointed out that contracts with vendors should not be signed <br />until after formal Council approval, and if signed, it should be <br />noted on the contract that the approval is subject to Council approval. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-8-367 - APPROVING THE <br />4 Correct'on CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND PITOMETER <br />Res. no. ~7=7=375 ASSOCIATES TO DO METER TESTING IN THE <br />CITY TO TRY AND DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE <br />CITY'S WATER LOSS, THE AMOUNT OF THE <br />CONTRACT 6E~~~* ~*~~E*~E <br />~ NCYI' ~ ~XCEED $ 2,900.00 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Dlesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 393. <br />City Center Qlesener suggested that Councilmembers work with their liaison <br />Expansion departments regarding the City Center expansion proposal suggested <br />by SEH. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 17b g~esener suggested that any changes or suggestions be referred to <br />him, and that he would compile these comments and bring the matter <br />back to the Council for discussion at the first Council meeting in <br />September. <br />Collova indicated that he will also review the proposal with the <br />Planning Commission and seek their input. <br />Page -14- <br />
