MINUTES <br />City Council <br />August 12, 1987 <br />Culvert Fahey asked if a trash guard could be installed over the end of the <br />Guards existing culvert. <br />Ditch No. 7 <br />(Cont.) The Engineer replied that this cannot be done as the pipe exists. <br />Blesener felt the guard should be installed as a safety feature <br />pointing out that residents in the area have been cleaning the debree <br />from the end of the culvert to make sure the culvert is not blocked. <br />Scalze asked if the cost of the trash guard would be paid for from the <br />storm sewer project. <br />The Engineer replied that this was correct. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-8-362 - APPROVING A CHANGE <br />ORDER TO HOULE S CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION <br />OF AN EIGHT FOOT LENGTH OF PIPE AND CULVERT <br />GUARDS TO THE PIPE I~1 DITCH N0. 7 IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $3,800.00 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seocnded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, Scalze, ~aValle, Blesener, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 388. <br />Standing Mr. Blesener reported that there is standing water on Ackwright in the <br />Water On street near the former Stenger home that is causing the street to settle <br />Ackwright and is increasing after each rain. Blesener requested that the <br />Engineer take a look at the situation. <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />1987 The City Engineer reported that he has completed the assessment roll <br />Assessments for 1987 assessments which will be considered at a public hearing <br />scheduled for August 26, 1987. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 13 Scalze asked what the hold up is in getting the County Road B-2 lift <br />station completed. <br />The Engineer replied that the electrician has been delayed and should <br />have the electrical work completed shortly. <br />Fahey pointed out that there appears to be a drainage problem on <br />County Road B-2 near the Eng property in that the culvert under the <br />Nammond driveway appears too small and the curb cut into the ditch <br />too high. Fahey suggested that the Engineer look at this. <br />Page -9- <br />
