PIINUTES <br />City Council <br />October• 28, 1987 <br />Centerville The City Attorney informed the Council that there is nothing to report <br />Road Ar~ea as yet in the Center~ville Road ar•ea. <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Video The City Planner• r~epor•ted that the Video Update building is a non- <br />Update confor~ming use under• the industr~ial zoning of the pr~oper~ty. Also, <br />Building since the business has not oper~ated on the pr•emises for• almost a <br /> year•, under• City or•dinance it is not allowed to r~e-establish. <br />Agenda The Planner• also pointed out that the building has been damaged to <br />Addition gr•eater than 50% of its value, and under or~dinance could not be r•ebuilt. <br /> The P1 anner• r•epor•ted that i f the pr•oper•ty i s r~edevel oped, a bui 1 di ng <br /> would have to meet industr~ial setbacks which would allow only a 20 foot <br /> by 36 foot building on the site. <br /> The City Planner• asked the Council their~ opinion on the pr•oper~ty and <br /> whether• or• not the cur•r•ent building should be condemned. <br /> Blesener~ felt that the building should be condemned as it is unsafe. <br /> Blesener• also felt that any new development on the pr•oper•ty should <br /> meet industrial Code r•equir~ements. <br /> Scalze, Collova and Fahey agr~eed that the ar~ea should be cleaned up. <br /> Mrs. Scalze intr~oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 87-10-529 - AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY ATTORNEY TO PROCEED WITH CONDEPINATION <br /> OF THE VIDEO UPDATE BUILDING ON RICE STREET <br /> AS IS APPROPRIATE UNDER STATE LAW <br />The for•egoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr•. Blesener•. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Vahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appear~s in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 559. <br />Saiko The City Attor•ney submitted for• appr•oval a tempor~ary easement on <br />Easement the Saiko pr~oper•ty for~ the impr•ovement of Demont Str~eet. The Attor~ney <br />Agenda r~epor~ted that the City pr•eviously appr•oved a tempor•ar~y easement for• <br />Addition this pr~oper~ty, however•, since the length of the pr•oject has been <br />extended, the easement is being extended to an 11 month easement. <br />The cost of the easement has also been incr~eased to $674.00. <br />Mr•s.
