MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Dec. 30, 1987 <br />Bank Shot Fahey felt the comments made by Mr•. Townsley addr~essed policing. Fahey <br />Billiar•ds pointed out that the pr•oposal meets Code r•equivements and noted that <br />(Cont.) the center• had its own separ~ate entr~ance. Fahey commented that the <br />City wants to make sur•e the oper•ation is a clean one, and noted that <br />the Sher•iff's Depar•tment will police the site and r•epor•t to the City <br />if ther•e ar~e any pr~oblems. Fahey suggested that the Developer•'s <br />Agr•eement gi ve the Ci ty the abi 1 i ty to r•estr•ict hour•s of oper~ati on <br />upon notice of a hear•ing to the applicant. <br />Blesener~ noted the lengthy discussions that the Council has had on <br />billiard center~s. Blesener~ also commented that he felt the billiar~d <br />center~ would be far~ enough fr~om the Iona Lane r~esidents so as not to <br />bother• them. However•, the Council can contact the r~esidents after• a <br />per~iod of time to deter~mine of ther~e ar•e any pr•oblems. <br />Townsley asked if the r•esidents of Iona Lane would r•eceive a notice <br />of hear•ing r•egar•ding the billiar•d center~. <br />Fahey pointed out that gener•ally the City oper•ates on a complaint basis. <br />Townsley reported that he has complained twice to the City a~bout trash <br />fr•om the shopping center~ site blowing onto his pr•oper~ty and nothing was <br />done. <br />Fahey instr~ucted the City Cler~k to infor•m the Building Inspector~ to <br />look into this complaint. <br />Blesener• commented that the pr~oposal befor•e the Council fits into the <br />criteria established by the Council for a billiard center. <br />Mr~. Blesener• intr•oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-12-582 - APPROVING THE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUESTED BY BANK <br />SHOT BILLIARDS SUBJECT TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS <br />OF THE CITY PLANNER AS CONTAINED IN HIS DECEMBER <br />3, 1987 REPORT EXCEPTING TNAT A MAXIMUM OF 8 <br />AMUSEMENT DEVICES WILL BE ALL041ED ON THE PREMISES <br />AND SETTING THE HOURS OF OPERATION AT BETWEEN <br />8 A.M. AND 4 A.M. WHICH WILL BE SUBJECT TO REVIEW <br />120 DAYS FROP~i THE DATE OF OPENING OF THIS BUSINESS, <br />AND, IF NECESSARY, THE HOURS WILL BE AMENDED AT THAT <br />TIME <br />The for~egoing r~esolution was duly seconded by Mr•.
