MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Dec. 30, 1987 <br />Bank Shot <br />Bi 11 i ar~ds <br />(Cont.) <br />VanGuilder <br />Rezoning <br />Request <br />206 Little <br />Canada Road <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 6 <br />Scalze r~eported that she was opposed to the CUP as she felt the billiar~d <br />center• woul d be too cl ose to the r~esi denti al pr•oper•ty to the nor•th. <br />Scalze also did not feel the use was the best for~ the shopping center~. <br />Blesener• noted the Planner•'s r~ecommendation that no food or~ liquor~ be <br />ser•ved on site. Blesener• stated that he would be opposed to any alcohol <br />on site. <br />Schifsky r•epor•ted that they had no intention of r•equesting a liquor~ <br />license. <br />Scalze also pointed out that ther•e ar•e no liquor~ licenses available at <br />this time. <br />Fahey opened the publ i c hear•i ng on the Gr~eg VanGui 1 der• r~equest to r~ezone <br />206 Little Canada Road fr•om B-3 to RB and r~equest for• a var•iance for~ <br />commer•ci al 1 ot si ze. <br />Mr~. VanGuilder~ r~epor•ted that he has withdr•awn his pur•chase agr•eement <br />on the pr•oper~ty and i s wi thdr•awi ng hi s r•ezoni ng and var•i ance r~equest. <br />VanGuilder• asked if he would be r•efunded the application fees he has <br />submitted to the City. <br />The Ci ty C1 er~k r•epor•ted that after• the P1 anner•' s fees and mai 1 i ng and <br />publication costs have been deducted, the balance of the fees would be <br />r•efunded to VanGuilder~. VanGuilder• could expect to r~eceive this r•efund <br />on or• about Januar•y 27. <br />Mr•. Collova intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-12-583 - CLOSING THE <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE VANGUILDER REQUEST FOR <br />REZONING AND COMMERCIAL LOT SIZE VARIANCE <br />The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr~s. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar~ed adopted. <br />This resolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 632. <br />Mr•. Fahey intr~oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 87-12-584 - DENYING THE <br />VANGUILDER REZONING A~ID VARIANCE REQUEST <br />FOR 206 LITTLE CANADA ROAD BASED ON THE <br />APPLICANT'S WITHDR/~VJAL OF THAT REQUEST <br />Page -6- <br />
