Currently, the majority of their help has worked for the
fir•m for~ 3 to 4 year•s, and ar•e being super•vised by an employee who
has worked for the firm for 6 years. Traxler reported that either
she or~ Mor•r•is ar•e on site at all times.
Mor•r~i s r•epor•ted that they val i date 20% of the sur•veys and cal l the
households back which wer~e sur~veyed and ask a ser•ies of questions.
Tr~axler• r•epor•ted that they have a few sur~veyer•s who have wor•ked for~
the fir~m for• many year•s who do sur~veying fr~om their~ homes. However,
a por•tion of these sur•veys ar•e validated as well. Tr•axler• r~epor•ted
that th2y have 12 telephone lines and this is the maximum number~ of
people they will have sur•veying at any one time with only one super~viser.
LaValle asked the amount of time the sur•vey would take.
Tr~axler~ r•eplied that the actual sur•vey wor~k will take 5 to 6 days.
One sur•vey can take between 30 to 40 minutes depending on the person
being sur~veyed. Tr•axler• also r~epor~ted that they have no problem
keeping a per~son on the telephone for~ that length of time and sometimes
have a pr•oblem with limiting the amount of time spent on a sur•vey.
Tr~axl er• r•epor•ted that peopl e ar~e ver•y wi 11 i ng to gi ve i nfor•mati on
r•egar•ding the community they live in pr•ovided that they know their•
Tdentity will remain confidential.
Page -3-
