Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar~ed adopted. <br />This r~esolution appear~s in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 95. <br />Water• Loss Blesener~ r•eviewed the letter~ r•eceived by the City fr~om the Boar•d of <br />Reimbur•se- ~dater~ Commissioner~s which states that they will adjust the City's <br />ment water~ r~ate for• the fir•st 8 1/2 months of 1987, reducing that r•ate <br />by 15% due to the i naccur~ate r~egi ster•i ng of thei r• water~ meter• and <br />Agenda subsequent over~charge to the City for• water used. The 15% adjustment <br />Item No. 14 amounts to $41,092.97 and will be paid back to the City over• the <br />months of Mar~ch and Apr•il of 1988. <br />Blesener~ also r•epor•ted that he had a couple of questions r~egar•ding <br />the water~ r•epor•t that was submitted by the Public Wor~ks Super•intendent <br />at the last Council meetinq. Blesener reported that he will discuss <br />these questions with the Super•intendent. <br />Scalze pointed out that Arden Hills receives its water from the City <br />of Roseville at Roseville's lower• r~ate. <br />Dlesener~ r•eplied that it was tr~ue, however~, it was his under•standing <br />that such practices would be ending and that the City of St. Paul will <br />be metering water• as it leaves Roseville and those cities obtaining <br />water~ thr•ough Roseville will be char•ged at the same r~ate Little Canada <br />is r~eceiving. <br />Debr•is Collova r•epor~ted that the C~uilding Inspector~ is handling complaints <br />Complaints about debr•is on a case-by-case basis, and, hopefully, clean-ups will <br />take pl ace i n the spr~i ng or~ ear•1y summer~ on a vol untar•y basi s. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 15 Fahey asked if City or~dinance allowed the City to go in a remove <br />debr•is and assess the cost of clean-up against the pr~oper•ty. <br />The City Attor~ney r•eplied that notice to the homeowner~ was necessar•y, <br />however~, the or~dinance did allow the City to under~take such clean-up. <br />Fahey asked about clean-up of items such as aopliances or~ unlicensed <br />car•s. <br />The Attor~ney was unsur•e whether~ the or•di nance addr~essed 1 ar•ger i tems . <br />Page -12- <br />
