RESOLUTIONS <br />City Council <br />Mar•ch 9, 1988 <br />Canadian <br />Days Fund <br />Raiser <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />The Canadian Days Committee has submitted an application for• a gold <br />plate dinner• at the Venetian Inn on Apr•il 17, 1988 as a fund-r•aiser~ <br />for• the Canadian Days Celebr~ation. <br />Mr•: Fahey intr~oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-3-88 -APPROVING THE GAMBLIDIG <br />APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY TI-IE CANADIAN DAYS <br />COMMITTEE TO HOLD A GOLD PLATE DINNER AT THE <br />VENETIAN INN ON APRIL 17, 1988 <br />The for•egoing r~esolution was duly seconded by Mr•s. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, 131esener, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appear•s in Resolution Book Plo. 19, Page 93. <br />Mark Mann Mr. Mark D1ann appeared before the Council requesting a landfill permit <br />Landfill for• his pr•oper~ty at 2966 Ar•cade Str•eet for• over• 2,000 cubic yar~ds of <br />Per•mit fill. Mann r•epor~ted that he began filling the site and was unawar•e <br />that a fill per•mit was necessar•y. Mann r~epor~ted that the fill would <br />Agenda be used to ber~m up ar•ound a block building which is located on the <br />Addi ti on pr•oper~ty. After• the fi 11 i s gr•aded, D9ann r~epor•ted that he woul d be <br />planting pine tr•ees to soften the effect of the building even mor•e. <br />Council discussed the permit application, and felt that approval could <br />be gr•anted at this time, subject to r•eview and appr~oval of the City <br />Engi neer•. <br />Mann asked how long befor•e the City Engineer• would act on the matter•, <br />as if it is necessar•y to r•emove the fill, he would like to do so <br />quickly while he has equipment to r~emove the fill available to him. <br />Fahey suggested that the City Engineer• r~eview the r•equest as quickly <br />as possible. <br />Mr~.
