MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Apr•il 27, 1988 <br />Boosalis meeting in or•der• to give Boosalis an oppor•tunity to wor•k with the City <br />CUP Plannev~ on his pr•oposal. <br />(Cont.) <br />Mr•. Blesener• intr•oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-4-158 - CONTINUING THE <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON TNE SNERMAN [300SALIS <br />RFQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AMEND- <br />MENT UNTIL THE MAY 25, 1988 COUNCIL MEETIMG <br />The foregoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener•, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar~ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 19, 162. <br />Blesener• indicated that the City Cler•k and City Planner• should inform <br />devel oper•s that the Ci ty Counci 1 i s not i n favor~ of r•ezoni ng pr•oper~ty <br />in the City for multi-family development. <br />The City Clerk replied that developers are informed about the Council's <br />position on this subject, however~, it is the pr~er•ogative of the developer• <br />to make such a r•equest. <br />Text Fahey opened the public hear~ing to consider~ pr•oposed text amendments <br />Amendment defining public par~ks and public pedestr•ian tr•ails and including <br /> pedestr•ian tr•ails as a per•mitted use in all zoning districts of the <br />Or~dinance City. <br />Nos. 295 <br />And 296 Scalze noted that the or•dinance does not give the City any additional <br /> power• to take land for~ tr~ails, but only allows tr•ails as per~mitted uses <br /> ~n the City's zoning distr~icts. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 8 LaValle asked if passage of this or•dinance will allow all easements <br /> within the City to become tr•ail easements. <br /> The City Attor~ney r~eplied that the specific pur~poses of easements are <br /> limited to the easement as defined. Ther•efor~e, a dr~ainage or• utility <br /> easement would not become a tr•ail easement, but would r•emain just a <br /> dr•ainage or utility easement. <br /> Blesener~ asked why par•ks wer•e not being made a per~mitted use within <br /> the City's zoning distr•icts, but would be a per•mitted use in the Public <br /> Distr•ict only. <br /> The Ci ty Pl anner~ r~epl i ed that the Ci ty woul d r~etai n mor•e contr•ol i f <br /> par•ks r~emained a per•mitted use in the Public,Zone only. <br /> Fahey asked if ther•e was anyone pr~esent wishing to comment on pr•oposed <br /> Or~dinances No. 295 and No. 296.
