Fitzger•ald pointed out that his inter•pr•etation of the City's or•dinance is that char•coal can be used. Fitzaer•ald asked that at a minimum the use of char•coal on apar~tment balconies be banned, as well as the use of lighter fluid. Fahey looked at the or~dinance and agr•eed that it could be inter•pr•eted that char~coal could be used. Fahey asked how the Condominium Association feels about the use of char~coal. Kelly replied that the Association would suppor~t the banning of char~coal. Blesener suggested that the City sur•vey the var•ious apar~tment manager~s and associations in the City r•egar~ding the use of char•coal and bar~-b-que gr~ills on balconies in gener•al. Fahey suggested that the City Cler~k r•epor~t on the r•esults of this sur•vey at the second Council meeting in P1ay. The City Clerk reported that the Council could act on a revised ordinance at that meeting and once the or~dinance is published it would go into effect. The Cler~k estimated ear•ly June as the effective date of any new bar-b-que gr~ill or~dinance that the City Council might adopt. Fahey r•ep~Y'ted that he will discuss the issue with the Fir~e Depar~tment further to determine their feelings. Nor~th End Fahey r~epor•ted that the City has r•eceived an application for• a gambling Qusiness license fr•om the Nor•th End Business Club for• a gold plate dinner• at the Club Venetian Inn to be held on June 5, 1988. Gambling License Mr•.
