MINUTES City Council April 27, 1988 Ryan Industr•i al Park (Cont.1 Recess Spooner Par•k Agenda Addition Fahey suggested that Collova discuss this situation with the Building Inspector•. At this point in the meeting, 10:00 P.M., Council took a shor~t r•ecess. The meeting was r•econvened at 10:05 P.M. Fahey r•epor•ted that the School Distr•ict has made the City another~ counter~-offer for~ the sale of Spooner• Park to the City. The City or~iginally offer~ed $400,000 for~ Spooner~ Par•k. The School District countered with $470,000 plus the rezoning of the Capitol View property to B-3. The City then counter•ed with $435,000, and now the School Distr•ict is counter~ing with $470,000 with no contingencies to the Capitol View site. Fahey pointed out that the School Distr•ict's offer~ r•efer~s to 18 acres mor•e or less, while the City's sur~vey shows 21.7 acres. The City Attor•ney suggested that the acreage be clar•ified, and Fahy suggested that a copy of the City's survey be attached to the purchase agr•eement. Fahey felt that the offer• of $470,000 should be accepted as it is within the Ci ty' S appr~ai sal for• the pr•oper•ty. Collova and LaValle felt the amount was too high and fur•ther• negotiations should be attempted. Mr~.
