MINUTES <br />City Council <br />April 27, 1988 <br />Thunder• Scalze suggested that if a gr•ant is r•eceived fr~om NSP it may be used <br />Bay Par•k to pur~chase playgr~ound equipment for• the par•k. Ther•e is a str~ong inter•est <br />(Cont.) in this equipment, and the Par•k Commission has not budgeted money for• <br />playgr•ound equipment for• 1988. <br />Scalze also r•epor•ted that the r•esidents adjacent to walkway easements to <br />the par~k have r•equested split-r~ail fences along these easements r•ather• <br />than chain-link. Scalze r•epor•ted that she told the r~esidents to discuss <br />this with the developer• and if the developer• appr•oves the change, the <br />Ci ty woul d pr•obably appr•ove i t as wel l. <br />Scalze asked the timing for• installation of the tr~ails within the walkway <br />easements and the fencing. <br />The City Engineer• anticipated that this wor~k would be done this summer•, <br />pointing out that the City is holding a bond that will not be released <br />until all work is completed and accepted by the City. <br />Collova pointed out that split r•ail fences ar•e attr•active to childr•en <br />and if installed along the walkway easements, r~esidents will have to <br />police these fences and pr•event childr•en fr•om sitting on them and br~eaking <br />them. <br />Dog Scal ze outl i ned the r~ecommendati on b,y the Par•k Commi ssi on for~ r~evi si on <br />Or•dinance to the City's dog or•dinance and suggested that the Council consider• <br />this suggestion for• discussion at another meeting in the near• futur•e. <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Leibel Fahey r~epor•ted that Jim Leibel has r~equested a 100-day extension for• <br />Plat filing his plat. <br />Extension <br />Mr•. Collova intr•oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />Agenda RESOLUTION ~10. 88-4-175 - GRADITI~IG A <br />Addition <br />100-DAY EXTENSION TO MR.JIM LEI6EL FOR <br />FILING HIS PLAT WHICH IS UDITIL JUNE 3, 1988 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, LaValle, Scalze, Rlesener•, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This r~esolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 179. <br />Fir~e Dept. The City has r•eceived application for r•enewal of the Fir•e Department's <br />Bingo License gambling license to oper•ate bingo at the Little Canada Bingo Hall. <br />Agenda It was noted that the City did not r•eceive the financial statement <br />Item No. 25a from the Fire Department for disbursements, and Council suqgested the <br />Page -29- <br />
