MINUTES City Counci1 May 25, 1988 Saiko Blesener~ r~equested the City Engineer• to look at the dr•ainage ditch behind Drainage the Saiko house on Demont as it may need cleaning. Agenda Addition Demont & B1 esener• r•epor•ted that ther~e ar~e two dri veways on Mor•r•i son and two on Mor•r~ison Demont which need a 2 to 3 foot str•ip of the concr~ete r~eplaced adjacent Dr•iveways to the cur•bing. When the cur•b was gr•ound down, the dr•iveway appr~oach Agenda Was not and ther•e is the need to slope the dr~iveways to the level of the Addition cur•b. Blesener r~epor~ted that this wor•k will be done and was previously appr•oved in conjunction with the cur•b wor•k on Mor•rison and Demont. Recycling The Council r~eviewed the recommendation of the City Recycling Committee as outlined in their~ r~eport dated May 15, 1988. Council felt ther•e was a Agenda need for• public hear•ings to be held with the gener•al public on this issue, Item No. 16a and it was suggested that these hear•ings be held by the Committee. Once public input is r~eceived, the Committee should pr~esent a final r•ecommenda- tion to the Council. Council felt r•ecommendations la and lb should be pur~sued by the Committee. Mr•. Fahey intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 88-5-215 - REQUESTING THE RECYCLING COMMITTEE TO PURSUE RECOMMENDATIONS la and lb AS CONTAINED IN THEIR REPORT DATED MAY 15, 1988 AND AUTHORIZING THE COMMITTEE TO HOLD THE APPROPRIATE PUBLIC HEARINGS TO RECEIVE INPUT FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THED1 REQUESTING A FIDIAL RECOMMENDATION BE MADE TO THE COUNCIL The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•s. Scalze. Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Collova, Blesener•, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This r•esolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 217. Center•ville Scalze r~epor~ted that the Par•k Commission and the Little Canada Recr•eation Road Ar•ea Association will hold a joint meeting in June to discuss design of the Center~ville Road Area par•k. In August or September• a neighbor•hood meeting Agenda will be held to r~eceive input fr~om the adjacent pr•oper•ty owner•s. Item No. 18 Scalze r~epor•ted that the Par~k Commission has r•equested a topogr•aphical map of the par•k to assist in design planning. Mr•s.
