MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 25, 1988 <br />Fleisch- Fleischhacker• r~epor~ted that the State took 22 feet of his pr•oper•ty. In <br />hacker• doing so, the State r•emoved an existing loading dock which extended 14 <br />Loading feet fr~om the building. Fleischhacker• r~equested appr•oval to r•eplace <br />Dock the loading dock with one 12 feet wide. The loading dock would come <br />Var•iance within 2 feet of the r~etaining wall that the State has constr~ucted <br />(Cont. ) al ong the pr•oper•ty 1 i ne. <br />The Planner• pointed out that the r•equir~ed setback is 40 feet, therefor•e, <br />Mr. Fleischhacker is requesting a 38 foot variance. Fleischhacker is <br />r~equesting per•mission to replace a 14 foot loading dock which was taken <br />down by the State with a 12 foot loading dock. The loading dock would <br />be used for~ the cabinet shop located in the upper~ floor of the building. <br />Fahey pointed out the comment of the Building Inspector~ r•egar•ding <br />spr•i nkl er•i ng of the bui 1 di ng. <br />Walt Hiener•, occupant of the building, r•eported that the Building Inspector~ <br />was concer~ned that the spr•ay booth ar•ea be spr•inkler•ed. The appr~opr•iate <br />fir•e extinguisher•s have alr~eady been installed in the building. Exit <br />signs ar~e up and the OSHA inspector• is not r•equir~ing lighted exit signs. <br />Hiener• r•epor•ted that the Building Inspector• indicated that he would give <br />the pr•oper~ty owner• 6 to 8 months to get the spr•ay booth spr~inkled. Niener~ <br />also pointed out that the loading dock is the only means of access to <br />the cabinet shop located in the upper floor of the building. <br />Fahey stated that he was agr•eeable to the var~iance, however~, wanted to <br />see the pr~oper•ty cleaned up as a condition of appr•oval. <br />Blesener~ pointed out to Mr•. Fleischhacker~ that the mobilehome and semi- <br />tr•uck tr•ailer•s ar•e in violation of Code and must be r~emoved. <br />The City Planner• agr•eed, and pointed out that if ther•e is a need for• <br />per~manent stor•age, a per•manent str~uctur~e could be er~ected to fill this <br />need. Any outdoor• stor~age would have to be scr•eened. <br />The Planner noted that semi-tr~uck tr•ailer•s ar•e per•missible on a site if <br />they ar•e a par~t of the business and not used for~ per•manent stor~age. <br />Fleischhacker agreed to clean up his property and requested 60 days in <br />or•der to accomplish the clean up. <br />P~r•. Blesener• intr•oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-5-201 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON THE FLEISCHHACKER REQUEST FOR <br />LOADING DOCK VARIANCE <br />The for•egoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr•.
