MINUTES <br />City Council <br />September 28, 1988 <br />Truck Mr. Blesener~ introduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />Bids (Cont.) <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-9-414 - REJECTING THE <br />BID OF POLAR CHEVROLET FOR A TRUCK BASED ON <br />THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />DEPARTMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 429. <br />Blesener reported that the Public Works Super•intendent obtained <br />formal quotations for the purchase of a pickup truck. These quotations <br />are as follows: <br />Merit Chevrolet $12,517.04 <br />Polar Chevrolet $12,883.00 <br />Rosedale Chevrolet $13,295.00 <br />Blesener reported that Public Works is recommending that the low bid <br />of Mer•it Chevro1et be awarded. <br />Mr. Blesener intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-9-415 - ACCEPTING AND <br />AWARDING THE LOW QUOTATION OF MERIT <br />CNEVROLET IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,517.04 <br />FOR THE CITY'S PURCHASE OF A PICKUP TRUCK <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesner, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 430. <br />Blesener asked the City Attorney if it was necessary that the City <br />require a bond when asking for bids for trucks. <br />The City Attorney repor•ted that he will resear~ch this matter and report <br />back to the Council. <br />Cable TV Blesener reported that the proposal submitted to the City at the last <br />meeting regarding Cable TV access has been adopted by 9 of the 10 member <br />Agenda cities. <br />Item No. 16b <br />Page -18- <br />
