MINUTES <br />City Council <br />October 12, 1988 <br />1988 Qudget Scalze pointed out that ther~e have been Code violations in the Carla Lane <br />(Cont.) area that proper•ty owners have had to deal with for two years. Scalze <br />did not feel Code violations should be addressed on a complaint basis. <br />Scalze pointed out that the Building Inspector was aware of these <br />violations and that there wer~e complaints fr~om the Carla Lane r~esidents <br />about the violations. <br />Fahey stated that complaints should be dir~ected to the City Center, and <br />then should be followed up on. <br />Blesener agr•eed, but did not feel the Building Inspector should go ar•ound <br />looking for violations. However•, if violations are noticed, the Biailding <br />Inspector should follow up on them. Fahey agreed. <br />Fahey suggested that the City Clerk issue a memo to the Building Inspector• <br />dir•ecting him to follow up on complaints of Code violations, follow up <br />on obvious violations that the Quilding Inspector might notice in his <br />driving through the City, and that completion of landscape plans should <br />be followed up on, as well as the completion of requirements for permits <br />or licenses. <br />Fahey also urged the public to bring their• complaints to the City staff. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-425 - APPROVING A SALARY <br />INCREASE OF 6% PER YEAR FOR THE EUILDI~lG <br />INSPECTOR AND THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT <br />AND A 4% INCREASE FOR THE REMAINING CITY <br />EP1PLOYGES AS 6-0ELL AS APPROVING COMPARABLE WORTH <br />PAY EQUITY INCREASES FOR BEVERLY JESPERSEN, KRIS <br />VAN SCHOONHOVEN AND A SALARY INCREASE FOR DA41N <br />LANGENBACH BRINGING HER SALARY TO $7.00 PER <br />HOUR FOR 198q <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (2) Fahey, Collova. <br />Nays (3) Blesener, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Resolution denied. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 440. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-426 - APPROVING THE COMPARABLE <br />SFlLARY INCREASES AS RECOMP4ENDED IN THE CONSULTANT'S <br />REPORT TO THE CITY FOR EMPLOYEES KRIS VANSCHOO~IHOVEN, <br />B[VERLY JESPERSEN AND DALdN LANGENBACIi EFFECTIVE <br />JANUARY 1, 1989 WITH ADDITIONAL INCREASE FOR DAWN <br />LANGENBACH TO BRING HER SALARY TO $7.00 PER HOUR <br />DURING 1989 <br />Page -13- <br />
