MINUTES <br />City Council <br />October 12, 1988 <br />1988 Budget The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr~. Fahey. <br />(Cont.) Ayes (3) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nays (2) Collova, Fahey. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 441. <br />Mrs. Scalze intr~oduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-427 - APPROVING 4% <br />SALARY INCREASES FOR ALL CITY EMPLOYEES <br />FOR THE YEAR 1989 <br />The for•egoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr~. Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Blesener, C~~llova, LaValle. <br />Nays (1) Fahey. <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 442. <br />Mr•. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-428 - APPROVING THE <br />1989 GENERAL FUND BUDGET, BOND LEVY, 1989 <br />EXPENDITURE BUDGET AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />BUDGET AS PRESENTED BY THE CITY CLERK AND <br />WITH THE CHANGES AS DISCUSSED AT THE <br />COUNCIL'S BUDGET WORKSHOP MEETING, WITH <br />THE BUDGET TO REFLECT THE WAGES WHICH HAVE <br />BEEN APPROVED FOR CITY EMPLOYEES FOR 1989 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Scalze, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, page 443. <br />Blesener felt that if the City Clerk's job performance improved dur•ing <br />1989 and the Building Inspector picked up the additional responsibility <br />given to him this evening, he would be favor~ of additional compensation <br />for• 1990. <br />Fahey asked if Blesener~ felt the Public Works Superintendent deserved <br />additional compensation during 1989 based on his job performance. <br />Blesener• felt that additional compensation was war~ranted for~ the Public <br />Wor~ks Superintendent, however, had a har•d time lobbying for it since <br />Public Works was his liaison area. Blesener stated that he did not <br />feel one employee should be singled out, but in all honesty the <br />additional compensation was war•r~anted for this employee. <br />page -14- <br />
