MINUTES <br />City Council <br />October 12, 1988 <br />County The Council reviewed the City Engineer's and Public Works Superintendent's <br />Capital recommendation for 5-Year• Capital Improvement Plan which must be submitted <br />Improvement to the County and revised the priorities recommended. This plan is as <br />Plan follows: <br />Agenda 1. Cur~bing on the south side of Little Canada <br />Addition Road from Edgerton to the Fir•e Hall. <br />2. Little Canada Road from Rice Str•eet to <br />County Road C- rebuild with concrete curb <br />and gutter. <br />3. Bike path on Keller• Parkway from Little <br />Canada Road to County Road B-2 (in cooperation <br />with Maplewood and Little Canada). <br />4. Centerville Road from waterworks to Edgerton - <br />rebuild with concrete curb and gutter. <br />5. Overlay and curb on County Road B-2 from <br />Arcade to 6reenbrier. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-438 - APPROVING THE 5-YEAR <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN AS DISCUSSED AND REVISED <br />WIiICH WAS SUBMITTED BY THE CITY ENGINEER AND PUBLIC <br />WORKS SUPERINTENDENT AND AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION <br />OF THIS PLAN TO THE COUNTY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, page 453. <br />Dumpster Mr•. Blesener reported that the Public Works Super~intendent is recommending <br />Charges an incr~ease in dumpster charges due to increased dumpster~ costs to the <br />City. Currently, the dumpster is operating at about one-third to one-half <br />Agenda loss. <br />Addition <br />Blesener reported that the recommendation is to charge $3 per 30-gallon <br />trash bag, however, he has suggested $2 per• 30-gallon bag. <br />Scalze agr•eed with the recommendation of the Superintendent feeling that <br />the City should not be subsidizing some citizens for their trash removal. <br />Fahey suggested that the dumpster is a service the City pr•ovides citizens <br />and recommended that the $2 charge per 30-gallon bag be adopted. <br />Other charges recommended were $12 per appliance, $24 per• full trailer~ <br />Page -20- <br />
