MINUTES City Council October 12, 1988 Dumpster load and $12 per~ cubic yar•d of trash. Char•ges (Cont.1 Mr•. Blesener introduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-439 - APPROVING THE INCREASE IN DUMPSTER CHARGES AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC VJORKS SUPERINTENDENT WITH THE CHARGE FOR 30-GALLON TRASN BAGS TO BE $3 PER BAG, $12 PER APPLIANCE, $24 PER FULL TRAILER LOAD, AND $12 PER CUBIC YARD OF TRASH The for•egoing resolution was duly seconded by P1r•s. Scalze. Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. Nays (1) Fahey. Resolution declar•ed adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution book No. 20, page 454. Pick-Up Blesener r~eported that the City r•ecentl,y took bids on the purchase of a Truck Bid pick-up truck. The bid of PAerit Chev was a.war~ded, however, it has nov~ been determined that Mer•it's bid did not meet specifications. Ther•efore, Agenda it is the recommendation of the Public Wor•ks Department that the bid of Aadition Polar Chev be awarded. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-440 - RESCINDING THE COUNCIL S PREVIOUS MOTION AWARDING THE BID OF MERIT CHEV FOR A PICK-UP TRUCK SINCE THAT BID DID NOT MEET SPECIFICATIONS, AND AWARDING TNE BID OF POLAR CHEV IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,883 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr•. Collova. Ayes (5) Blesener•, Collova, LaValle, Fahey, Scalze. ~lays (0). Resolution declar•ed adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, page 455. 3176 Spr•uce Blesener• again commented on the car painting going on at 3176 Spruce Street Street. Blesener pointed out that the City recently granted an auto repair• license at this location, however~, car painting was not a Agenda permitted use since there is no paint booth in the building. Addition Fahey suggested that the Sher•iff's Department be requested to issue a citation to the business owner~. Page -21-
